etsy love: oana befort
(...plus three DIY photo mats!)

<<< psst! you can see a full list of my diy projects here! >>>

i am in love with oana befort's work and i had to share with you the creative and inspiring prints i bought from her etsy shop.

see more of her work...and three diy photo mats! after the jump.

first up: oana's {create} print! i knew it would be perfect in my workspace:

i got the picture frame from michael's, but the plain white photo mat wasn't doing it for me...so i washi-taped it! it took about ten minutes to transform the mat from blah to fun and whimsical.

i wanted oana's {hello} postcard for our entryway:

who wouldn't smile at that when walking into a home?

the card was slightly too small for the mat, so i placed a sheet of bright yellow-gold origami paper behind it and...ta-da! a faux double mat.

you can use any kind of paper you like -- it just happened that the perfect shade of yellow-gold i needed was a sheet of origami paper.

if you look close, you can see the edge of the postcard lifting up, giving away the faux-ness of the double mat. that's just my laziness of not going around the entire border with scotch double-sided tape.

love that pop! of yellow!

the last piece is oana's {terrarium} print, which will be going in the sunroom:

i wanted to wrap this photo mat in fabric and i was trying to use something already in my stash. pulling from the colors in the print, i tried out a remnant of yellow silk. i simply wrapped it around the mat, pulled it taut, and glued it on the back with fabri-tac.

i like the silk, but i may switch it out for another color. the black and yellow combo seems too severe for the pinky-peach sunroom.

celery, salmon, aqua, mauve...i like all of them!

are you loving oana's work as much as me?? lucky for us, she's currently offering these free holiday gift tags on her blog! i've already printed them out and am brainstorming a way i can decorate with them...
