fish made a work bench!

after the huge success of our master bed, fish is preparing to build a fort-bed for lil' archer. but, this time around, we wanted fish to have a proper space to work...instead of the makeshift station he cobbled together to build the master bedframe.

SO, using plans from ana white,
he made a work bench for himself in one afternoon!

we went to good ol' home depot to get the lumber and fish immediately started making cuts...

...with his new miter saw!
oooohhh....

why can't he keep his sock drawer this orderly??

in no time at all, he had the legs assembled...

things become fuzzy at this point. i remember i was HOT. i came inside to get some water...did a bit of painting...woke up K from his nap...glanced out the window and...

HOLY MOLY!
that there's a table!

...and about five minutes later, this is sitting in our garage:
a Bona Fide Work Bench!

...aaand after a few coats of paint on the work surface:

here's the miter saw in place on the new table:

LET THE FORT-BED CONSTRUCTION COMMENCE!

    2. I just built the same bench this week and am looking to paint it. Actually, I'm looking to buy the same saw you guys have too. My wife and I have recently become fans of the Ana White site. Anyway, good luck on future projects! Nice job taking pictures along the way too!

  3. What kind of paint did you use to hide the screws. And did you paint just the screw or the whole thing? Thanks

    1. hi anonymous, fish just filled in the holes with wood filler. if you look closely in the pictures, you can see the spots. we painted only the top and left the bottom bare wood. hope that helps! please let me know if you have any other questions. :)
