wigging out. part 2.
the sunroom

<<< you can see part one {here}. >>>

ONWARD, HO!
welcome to part 2 of my breakdown.

SO.
the sunroom.

it's a {no-brainer} for me...technically. i know i want the room to be the most sublime shade of pinky-peach i can find.
.
.
.
but WHICH SHADE is the most sublime??

peach cloud?

pink parfait??

pale shrimp???
(( such an enticing name, behr, really. ))

TOO MANY OPTIONS!

should i lean more pink or more peach?

how light should i go?
should i go even lighter than these options?

there's a few things working in my favor:
   - one wall is floor to ceiling beadboard, which will remain white
   - the other three walls have white beadboard on the bottom half
   - it's a SUNroom...there's a whole lotta windows and not much wallspace
...as in, maybe we'll use one gallon of paint for the whole room.

these two are the ones i'm currently eyeing:

i know.
i KNOW.
there's about a 0.0000000021% difference between the shades.

it DOESN'T MATTER.
they will look exactly the same on the wall.

but, it's our first home and i want everything to be perfect.

sigh.

OTHER PLANS FOR THE SUNROOM...

fish and i spent a lovely afternoon testing sofas at {room & board}.
we loved their metro sofa with angled chaise

we didn't love the price tag.
hmph.

i was set on a light gray sofa, but to order the metro in the color i want (i.e. one of their custom fabrics, not a stocked offering) brings the price to over $3k! yikes.
i DO like it in {tatum} as well -- which is one of the stocked colors.

anyhoo...pipe dreams...

for now, we'll use our trusty espresso-colored leather sofas.
   they've served us well.

the ceiling is some kind of...maybe acoustic tile? from what i remember, the squares measure about 8"x8". i want to paint them a very high-gloss white, like so:

also! lots and lots of plants.
i'd especially love some kind of citrus tree.
specifically a LEMON tree, if you're reading this, fish!

we already have a couple of cb2 knitted blood orange poufs...LOVE these. we use them all the time for lounging, putting our feet up, everything. i even bring them to bed for when i want to sit up and read...
   ...or play on fish's laptop...

lastly, there is a closet in the room that doesn't really seem to serve a purpose...except for maybe corralling lil' archer's toys. but i hope to contain most of his playthings in his bedroom. so...we want to try to convert the closet to a homework-slash-laptop station.

it doesn't look too difficult to do.

here are some of my inspiration pictures, all from apartment therapy:

okay.

...see?

once i get past the stress of choosing a paint color, i actually settle quite quickly into my happy place.
